More and more I’ve been getting distressed over how “long ago” certain “chronological events” were. But I think I’ve come to the conclusion that time is not linear and anyone who claims it is is a scammer or a cop.

2013 was 10 years ago. 2014 was 6 years ago. 2017 was recent, but the kind of recent with a comfortable buffer of aged time around it, like a nice cheese. 2019 likely did not happen, and if it did happen it was a filler year that is optionally skippable and doesn’t actually contribute to passing time. 2020 lasted 2 years but in a side timeline that does not actually push 2014-2018 any farther back. 2021 and 2022 were a single year. 2018 was 2.5 years ago. The last 9 months were the void where the tape recorder runs out. Do you get it?

I have to say—I assume the intention of the TOTK devs for players encountering their first Evermean was for them to just be strolling in the wood and then get jumpscared by a tree, which is all well and good. However, my first Evermean encounter, in which I was just trying to take a picture of a firefly and my camera suddenly locked onto the tree behind it instead with a message reading, “Evermean”, left me standing there in silence with a sense of dread creeping over me at the realization that there were hidden threats all around me that I’d never have noticed before, which I think we can safely say is way scarier.

Most of them are on ff.net but I have a very specific memory from many years ago of discovering her 100+ fics and binge reading them over a week

Everytime I see posts like this I get filled with such profound sadness

Cause you know who has the same brainrot as you? The same unhinged feelings as you after you've read the fic? The person who always wants to scream about the fic with you?

I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it's been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible

Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together

Certain words can change your brain forever and ever so you do have to be very careful about it.

the fact that in dead apple when ango was like "nooo chuuya you don't have to do this, don't fight the dragon, you might die", chuuya could have just been like "i have to do this, i will risk my life to protect this city" but NO the reason he gives is "i have to do this, i will risk my life to punch dazai in the face" and then he proceeds to FIGHT THE LITERAL GOD INSIDE OF HIM just to give dazai the weakest punch possible under corruption
